NAUI SCUBA RESCUE  DIVER COURSE

 

This course trains divers in the knowledge and skills needed to manage risks and effectively handle limited in water problems and diving emergencies.  Included are: assists, transports, surface rescues and rescues from depth.

 

COURSE CONSISTS OF:

 

1.     1 classroom session

  • Cause & prevention of diving accidents
  • Diving rescue
  • General accident management

2.     1 to 2 pool sessions (depends on pool schedule)

3.     2 open water dives

  • Identify the problem & properly assist a completely equipped skin or scuba diver simulating various condition
  • Perform a satisfactory, controlled Scuba Diver Rescue from depth and transport the victim to the boat or water edge.

STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING:

 

1.     Standard scuba equipment

2.     Transportation fee

3.  NAUI Scuba Rescue diver student education system

 

Graduates may use this certification as a prerequisite for the NAUI Training Assistant Specialty Course, Leadership Course and Instructor Training course
