Aquatic Skills for Diving Competency
This program gives participants the ability to survive in the water without the assistance of scuba equipment. For more advanced learners, it focuses on improving swimming techniques to produce swimming competency and refine expert skills.
Curriculum includes (but not limited to)
One 3-hour pool session
Four main swim strokes: front crawl (freestyle), breaststroke, elementary backstroke, and sidestroke
Techniques for improving water skills
Basic lifesaving skills: towing, assisting, buddy rescue, self-rescue, and survival float.
Diving from the deck/block
Flip turns and open turns
All education and instruction conducted by highly experienced instructor
Facilities for all workshops, pool sessions
