Socorro Island Diving and Eco Expedition 2024

The remote location of Socorro Island is synonymous with big fish action, particularly manta rays, varieties of sharks (hammerheads, silkies, oceanic whitetips, silvertips, Galapagos sharks, tiger sharks and whale sharks), pods of pelagic dolphins and humpback whales. Located 291 miles south of Cabo San Lucas, this surreal destination is considered to be the sister island of Galapagos. You can find the biggest mantas in the world, which their behavior here is unique from anywhere else. These 12-16-foot giant mantas of Socorro seek out intimate interactions with divers as they dance around you. Ocean Safari will embark on the Nautilus Under Sea, the newest boat in the Nautilus fleet which recently underwent renovations, for a 9-day expedition to the beautiful Revillagigedo Archipelago, or more commonly known as Socorro Islands. Socorro Island sample ITINERARY

June 26 (Wed): Depart from Los Angeles in the morning to Cabo San Lucas. Enjoy sunny Cabo San Lucas before you meet at See creature dive center no later than 7pm and depart to boat at 730pm.

June 27 (Thur): Evening arrival at San Benedicto Island. Activities include safety briefing, diver orientation, and manta 101.

June 28 (Fri): First full day of diving at San Benedicto Island. Home to the friendliest giant mantas in the world! Enjoy a taco fiesta on the upper deck in the evening.

June 29 (Sat): 4 dives at Socorro Island.

June 30 (Sun): 4 dives at Socorro Island and end the day with a night soak with Silky Sharks.

July 1 (Mon): 4 dives at beautiful Roca Partida, a lava plug from a massive volcano submerged 11,800 feet deep.

July 2 (Tue): 4 dives at Roca Partida and see more mantas and sharks.

July 3 (Wed): Full steam ahead and make our way back to Cabo San Lucas.

July 4 (Tur): Arrive at Cabo San Lucas and disembark at 8:30am. Transfer to the airport. Fly back to Los Angeles and arrive Lax at 3pm....home sweet home!

Socorro Island Includes:
