Back for More Adventure!
Last time we made it out to Begg Rock and San Nicolas Island was October of 2015. This year, we are heading out there on August 25 and 26 aboard the Peace Dive Boat. There are still some spots open if you want to join us for a chance to be one of the few adventurous (and lucky) divers who can boast of making it out to Begg Rock and San Nicolas Island!
Seeing Purple
Dreaming of jumping into the water at Farnsworth Bank and seeing the beautiful colonies of purple hydrocoral (Stylaster californicus). We are heading there this Sunday, July 30. It is one of the handful of places where you can see healthy colonies of these beautiful and fragile creatures.
Underwater School
Aside from marveling at all the marine life on the oil rig beams and platforms, there are often huge schools of silversides leisurely swimming through the structure. If you are an experienced cold-water diver with advanced skills, you can enjoy the surreal beauty of the offshore oil rigs. Come join us on our next oil rig dive!
Just like a puppy
It's always fun to see sea lions come out and swim around you. They are like puppies. They follow you, play with each other and swim in circles around you. Sometimes they pause as if they are posing for you, but when you get your camera ready they quickly swim off. Just like a puppy!
Beauty on the Surface
Diving is not just about the depth and seeing what's under the water. It's also about appreciating and enjoying the beauty of the water surface and the surroundings.
