I learned to dive with the awesome team at Ocean Safari in July '12 and have been addicted since. My favorite dives so far have been at San Clemente and Cortes Bank, but on our most recent trip to Catalina I was amazed by the clear waters and rich life in the kelp forest at Arrow Point. Diving the oil rigs is the perfect combination of my love of diving and architecture. Outside of California I've dived in Hawaii and Hornby Island, BC. Looking forward to diving the rest of the world.

Round Stingray Love

I found these lovebirds at Lulu Reef near Catalina Island. I felt a little pervy recording them for so long, but I think they liked it!
Hungry Anemones and Vicious Urchins at Talcott Shoal, March 9, 2014
March 10, 2014
The weather was really nice bobbing around Santa Rosa on the Peace yesterday, but the visibility wasn't so great. The Talcott Shoal dives were full of life, lots of ling cod and rockfish, anenomes, starfish, and TONS of chestnut cowries. I'm including some photos of a curious fish seemingly attached to an urchin. It was shaking and seem stuck. I've also posted some photos of hungry anenomes chowing down on an urchin and starfish.
