Every year from April through July, tens of thousands of migrating mobula rays gather in the coastal waters of Baja California Sur, creating one of the ocean's most breathtaking wildlife spectacles. These graceful, acrobatic rays glide beneath the surface and launch into spectacular leaps above the water. This amazing spectacle attracts orcas, dolphins, sea lions, and other incredible marine life.
Join us for a week of wildlife encounters in La Ventana and La Paz to celebrate this amazing event in Sea of Cortez. This is a custom all-inclusive guided expedition with authentic Baja style casitas accommodation, daily diving and island visit!
Sample Itinerary
June 26
Morning departure from LAX, 2+ hour direct flight, arrival at La Paz in the early afternoon
1.5 hr Van Transfer to Palapas, La Ventana
Check-in to the casitas and welcome dinner
June 27~29
Daily Cerralvo Island boat trips with picnic lunch on the beach
Mobula and whale encounters with skin diving gear and up to two scuba dives
June 30~July 1
Early morning van transfer to La Paz Marina
Two-tank scuba boat trip to epic La Paz dive sites with picnic lunch on board
Stay at Hotel Catedral in the center of town to enjoy La Paz night life
July 2
Check out from the hotel before noon, van transfer to the airport, farewell to Sea of Cortez. Back to LAX in late afternoon, home, sweet home
