Sunburst Through the Water

Looking up at the sky and the island through the clear, warm water in the Coral Triangle. When you are diving, remember to look up once in a while.

Healthy Reefs of Coral Triangle

There are healthy looking coral reefs at the Coral Triangle. A school of fish and sunburst made a nice backdrop for this colony of staghorn  coral. These coral may not be colorful, but when you closely at them, you will see fish and other colorful creatures hiding in there.

All Smiles

We usually visit local villages when we go on overseas dive trips. The kids in the village greet us with warm and sweet smiles, like this boy with coral sand on his face and arms.

Seeing Above and Below

You can see more colors when you are in the shallow, clear water like this. You can also see through the water and make out what's above the surface. For example, in this shot you see the reef lit up by the strobe and also  see some details of the island above the surface.

River of Yellow Fish

Excited divers with cameras carefully following an underwater river stream of bigeye yellow snappers (Lutjanus lutjanus). These fish inhabit offshore coral reefs of Indian Ocean and western Pacific Ocean. The tropical reefs are already pretty colorful, but these fish add color and movement that enhances the whole experience of diving in the tropical water!
